Fix install --dev for SDK 5 Modules and clean up CI checks - #274
Merged

Conversation
install --dev looked only for the holoscan_<slug>_dev.py helper and .pth pair that SDK 4 Module builds staged. The SDK 5 template never stages them, so install --dev failed for every SDK 5 Module. A Module created with --language cpp python writes its package and its holoscan.modules metadata to <build>/python/lib, and the SDK resolves holoscan.<slug> through that metadata. install --dev now finds these build trees by their holoscan.modules entry points and installs a holoscan-<slug>-dev.pth that puts python/lib on sys.path. SDK 4 hooks and --uninstall work as before. Signed-off-by: Wenqi Li <wenqil@nvidia.com> Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

- Line 552: The install --dev flow around pth_dst.write_text must ensure the
selected SDK 5 build takes precedence over any already-installed holoscan_smoke
provider in site_dir. Detect the conflicting installed package and either
arrange the build path ahead of site_dir or fail with a clear actionable error
before reporting success.

HoloHub is deprecated. Its public main is now a module registry, and the archive-4x branch that keeps the wrapper suite is frozen and pins CLI 4.6.0. Testing the current CLI against that suite no longer covers a supported workflow, so remove the job and its row in .github/CI.md. The build job now waits only for pre-commit and the test matrix. The SDK 5 Module template's pyproject.toml holds Jinja conditionals, so it is not valid TOML. Dependabot's pip scan stops at that file, which also stops the dependency graph from refreshing. Exclude the packaged templates from the pip ecosystem's manifest search. Signed-off-by: Wenqi Li <wenqil@nvidia.com> Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
