Stitch together pictures of the same document

I have a rather bad camera. It would greatly improve the output quality (atleast for me) If multiple partial images of the document could be stitched together. From a ui perspective, this could always be attempted and only happen when possible. Alternatively maybe continuos pictures work better. In this case long holding for a "video" would also be great.

Thank you for this amazing app. It's understandable if this is too niche a feature with too much complexity. I can just continue to scan relevant documents on a dedicated scanner.

Thanks for opening this issue and for your kind words.

This is a problem I've never heard about before. Before discussing a potential solution, could you please share a few example pictures, either here or by email (contact@fairscan.org)?
You can use "Report a problem with last captured image" in the About screen to send the original captured image.

Please send the actual captured images, not screenshots.
That would really help me understand the problem.

Thanks for the quick reply. Finding a relevant document which does not include too much personal information is difficult. I found one instance for 3 (see below). I will still try tough.
After looking for relevant documents I found that there were three separate issues:

1. Very long receipts. which get weirdly cut off at the bottom and may contain dublicates (overlapping images to fix cut off).
2. Receipts which were previously folded, so they have to be held down for good results (overlapping images to remove my finger)
3. Documents with slightly smaller font. After testing: My camera is actually good enough. But then I would have only the paper in view. with weirder borders. Going far enough away makes it too blury.

Thanks for coming back to this issue and for the PDF you sent me by email.

1. Very long receipts. Is this a document detection problem? If that's the case, a workaround consists in manually adjusting the quadrilateral through the dedicated screen (I'm not implying this is a solution). Would you be able to share an image?
2. Receipts which were previously folded. Is the problem that the receipt cannot be laid flat without putting a finger on it and you don't want to see your finger in the resulting PDF?
3. Documents with slightly smaller font. Indeed, you have to be close enough so that the image captures enough details, but the edges of the document have to visible so that document detection works. I don't really understand what you mean by "weirder borders".
