### Disk Layout

It is important for build performance on AIX that the disk containing the
workspace is as fast as possible. On IBM Cloud it is recommended that a file
system rated as "tier0" is used. Some performance data analysis can be seen in
[this issue](https://github.com/nodejs/build/issues/4230#issuecomment-5992417390).
You can either make the whole of the machine use faster disks at machine
provision time, or create a separate file system to use as the workspace
directory later.
