EPMDEDP-17381: fix: update vulnerable transitive npm dependencies - #434
Merged

Conversation
Apply npm audit fix to the site and api lockfiles to pick up patched releases of dompurify, mermaid, fast-uri, js-yaml, lodash, ws, qs, webpack-dev-server, shell-quote, websocket-driver and others. Only lockfiles change; extract-zip (dev-only, via azure-functions-core-tools) has no upstream fix and remains.

Description
Run
npm audit fixon the site andapilockfiles to pick up patched releases of transitive dependencies. This targetsthe 105 open Dependabot alerts (2 critical, 41 high, 53 moderate, 9 low). Only
package-lock.jsonandapi/package-lock.jsonchange; nopackage.jsonchange, no--force.Notable bumps:
dompurify3.2.6 → 3.4.17,mermaid11.7.0 → 12.2.0 (major, transitive via the Docusaurus mermaid theme),fast-uri3.0.6 → 3.1.8,js-yaml4.1.0 → 4.3.2,lodash4.17.21 → 4.18.1,qs6.13.0 → 6.16.1,ws8.18.3 → 8.22.0,webpack-dev-server5.2.2 → 5.2.6,shell-quote1.8.3 → 1.12.0,websocket-driver0.7.4 → 0.7.5.node-forgeis droppedfrom the tree.
Not fixed by this PR:
tinypool1.1.1 (critical) andserialize-javascript6.0.2 (high): pinned by@docusaurus/core3.10.2, which is thelatest release. Fixes need major bumps, so they wait for a Docusaurus update.
extract-zip(3 high,api/): dev-only viaazure-functions-core-tools, no upstream patch.Jira: EPMDEDP-17381
Type of change
How Has This Been Tested?
npm cifollowed bynpm run buildsucceeds locally (no broken-link warnings). The rendered output was not reviewed;pages with mermaid diagrams are worth a look in the deploy preview because of the
mermaidmajor bump.Checklist
Additional context
Remaining alerts are expected to be dismissed as build-time or no-fix after merge, and rechecked when Docusaurus
publishes a release that bumps
tinypoolandserialize-javascript.
