Please make feature requests here. We are in active development so any idea is welcome and feasible.

• EOPF support
  Dev note: EOPF has two obstacles. First is that its host doesn't provide a CORS header, second is that the data is stored in a datatree format. This isn't supported in Zarrita. But is a potentially circumventable issue with dev support.

• IceChunk support
  Dev note: Will need more information on prevalence in Earth Science community before dedicating dev resources.

• Map streaming for timeseries selection High resolution base map for time series exploration & manual point input #406
  Dev note: This is something we are planning for the baseamap format. Allowing reprojection as well as use of external mapping services like Mapbox and OSM

Features

• Read-only access to Icechunk stores
• zarrita.js compatible - implements the AsyncReadable interface
• Browser and Node.js support
• Virtual chunk references - supports reading chunks from external files (NetCDF, HDF5)
• Cloud storage - translates gs:// and s3:// URLs to HTTPS
• Caching - LRU cache for manifests

Well, not really. Users still need to run icechunk first to create the store. Which it's not much. So, is not native netcdf.
